The beautiful sunny days alone, it turns out, are not enough to keep me running. I must still make a mental decision every day to put on the sneakers and walk to the East Beach. There, I pick up a path that runs along the Pacific Ocean. This week, I still had trouble making my goal, and I took three days off. The final tally puts me at three days of running and one day of cross training, when Megan Z. helped me to focus on my breath and my posture. This has actually been quite useful as I run, and I can feel the difference in my feet. In short, the proper alignment of my body alleviates some of the aches and pains that I have begun to felt in the top of my feet. On the last day of the week, I ran for a shave under two miles--1.97 miles, according to my running app. |
